Copa Lures by Steve Coggin
Famous for their meticulous shellwork, and knack for getting bit, Copa lures are an example of Hawaiian luremaking at its pinnacle. Early on, a young Steve Coggin was befriended by Honolulu dentist, Dr. Young Park. Dr. Park, an avid angler and skilled luremaker himself, took Steve under his wing, sharing the expertise he had garnished after years of fishing and lure making. In addition to pouring lures and shaping new designs, the two spent countless days offshore in pursuit of gamefish. Nearly thirty years later, Copa lures have evolved into one of the sports most respected range of offshore lures.
The Baby Peanut is a micro pusher style lure. At all of 4.5" in length, this is an ultra-light tackle sized lure. Don't let the small size fool you ... these little buggers catch fish. Baby Peanuts will cycle just like their bigger cousins. They will swim below the surface, then come up with a pop & splash, only to dive again. Great for Mahi Mahi and small Tunas. Made with Abalone or Mother of Pearl inserts. Please specify color choice for skirts when ordering.
High quality "Octopus" style skirts made from the finest materials. A great selection of colors, as well as a reputation for being durable, has made Lure Baits International skirts a top choice for fishermen the world over.
Malolo Blue Water Tackle stocks these skirts in sizes from 6.5" to 14" (16" skirts are available on a special order basis). Although we do our best to keep these skirts in inventory, please inquire regarding color & size availability. All Lure Baits International skirts stocked by Malolo Blue Water Tackle are without eyes (skirts with eyes are available on a special order basis).
When ordering, please specify both size and color choices. For example, if you want color #2 in a 10.75" length you would order OS10-2. Bulk pricing available, please inquire.

With hi-tech features such as magnetic weight transfer systems, computer aided hydrodynamic designs, and holographic vacuum metalization finishes, these lures are some of the most advanced available. That being said, what matters most is that they just flat out work.

This fly is intended to replicate one of Baja’s main forage species, the Sardina. Often found in large bait balls and caught using cast nets, Sardina are used in Baja as live chum to attract game fish into fly-casting range. Bull Candy flies have taken a variety of species including Tuna, Dorado, Pargo, Cabrilla, Yellowtail & Roosterfish.
Bull Candies are normally tied about 4.5” to 5” in length, though Lee advises anglers to carry a pair of scissors in the event that the Sardina are smaller (to trim down the fly). The fly is available in two colors, tan and green. This is to replicate color variations that are displayed by the Sardina.
Bull Candy flies are available in both Streamer and Clouser configurations. The Streamer version is tied on a Gamakatsu SL12 hook insize 2/0, while the Clouser style is tied on a Gamakatsu SP11-3L3H hook, also in size 2/0.
